Patient summary

developed to manage high blood pressure and to support heart health by inhibiting the angiotensin-converting enzyme.

Mechanism of action

Tritace operates by inhibiting the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor. By reducing angiotensin II levels, it relaxes blood vessels and lowers blood pressure while reducing the workload on the heart.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Contraindicated during pregnancy as it may cause fetal harm. Breastfeeding: Not recommended.

What you will receive

Tritace is the originator brand name, made by Sanofi. We use it here to identify the medicine only; we are not affiliated with Sanofi and do not ship the original Tritace.

  • You receive a generic equivalent: the same active ingredient (Ramipril) at the same dose, mostly recognised Indian branded generics from vetted manufacturers.
  • The exact brand supplied depends on what is in stock at the dispatching warehouse.
  • A regulated generic matches the original ingredient for ingredient by legal standard.

Are all generics really the same? Read the honest answer.
