About ZoneMD

ZoneMD helps expats, travellers and people far from reliable pharmacy access find medicines, compare options, and understand what they are ordering.

We are built from Thailand for people living across borders, especially across Asia. If you have moved between countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore or Hong Kong, you already know the problem: the same medicine may be sold under a different brand name, stocked in a different strength, priced very differently, or not available at the local pharmacy at all.

ZoneMD brings medicine information, brand and generic comparisons, and ordering access into one place.

Why ZoneMD exists

Medicine access is not equal everywhere.

Large cities may have excellent hospital pharmacies and specialist clinics. Smaller towns, islands, tourist areas and remote communities often have fewer choices. Expats can also face extra problems: unfamiliar brand names, local prescription rules, language barriers, unclear generics, and pharmacies that do not stock the medicine they used before moving abroad.

ZoneMD is designed to make that situation easier to navigate.

Our goal is simple: help you identify the medicine, understand the active ingredient, compare brand and generic options, and continue to available delivery routes when local access is limited.

What ZoneMD does

ZoneMD helps you:

  • search medicines by name, ingredient, condition or category
  • compare original brands with generic alternatives
  • check strengths, pack sizes and prices where available
  • understand when the same medicine has different names in different countries
  • read practical medicine guides written for non-specialists
  • continue to ordering and delivery options through pharmacy partners

The full ordering process is explained on How Ordering Works.

How ordering works

ZoneMD provides the website, catalogue and ordering experience.

After you choose a medicine, strength and pack size, you can continue to checkout and review the available delivery and payment options. Shipping, payment and fulfilment terms are explained on How Ordering Works.

Dispensing, pharmacy checks and delivery are handled by pharmacy partners. Depending on the medicine and destination, extra steps may apply, including prescription checks, pharmacist review, identity details or local import requirements.

Not every medicine can be supplied to every country. Availability depends on the product, destination, local rules, courier routes and pharmacy fulfilment checks.

Why brands and generics matter

Medicine names change across borders.

A brand you know from the UK, EU, Australia, India or Thailand may not be the name used in Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines or Hong Kong. In many cases, the active ingredient is the best way to compare medicines correctly.

ZoneMD focuses on:

  • the active ingredient
  • known brand names
  • generic alternatives
  • manufacturer details where available
  • strength and dosage form
  • pack size and price differences
  • practical notes that help you compare options

Generic medicines are often lower-cost alternatives to original brands, but they still need to be compared carefully. Manufacturer, registration status, strength, inactive ingredients and supply route can all matter.

Built for expats in Asia

ZoneMD is especially useful for people who live across borders or spend time in countries where medicine access varies by city, island or region.

That includes:

  • expats living in Thailand or Southeast Asia
  • remote workers moving between countries
  • travellers who need to continue regular treatment
  • families in areas without a well-stocked pharmacy
  • people comparing local medicines with brands they used before
  • customers trying to understand generic alternatives before ordering

We avoid assuming that one country’s medicine system works like another’s. Rules, availability and brand names are local.

How we handle information

Medicine information should be useful, sourced and clear.

Our medicine pages and guides are built around active ingredients, recognised sources, manufacturer information, regulator references and practical comparison. Where a claim depends on country rules or current availability, we try to make that clear instead of pretending the answer is universal.

You can read more on How We Research.

What ZoneMD is not

ZoneMD does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, or decide which medicine is right for you.

Our guides are general information. They are meant to help you understand options and ask better questions, not replace a doctor or pharmacist. This is especially important if you are pregnant, have a chronic condition, take other medicines, have allergies, are ordering for a child, or are unsure about dosage or suitability.

Contact and corrections

Medicine information changes. Brand availability, prices, regulator pages, pharmacy requirements and delivery routes can all move over time.

If you find something unclear, outdated or incorrect, tell us through the Contacts page. We review correction reports and update pages where needed.
