About Seroquel

Seroquel is the primary brand name for quetiapine, a medication used to manage Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder. The same active ingredient is also sold as Atrolak and Biquelle, manufactured by AstraZeneca. Tablets are available in strengths of 25, 50, 100, 200 and 300mg.

Seroquel availability in Asia

Seroquel is registered across 14 markets, including Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand, with availability also in Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia. Providing consistent access to medication is often a challenge for expats and those living far from a well-stocked pharmacy. Generic quetiapine, much of it made in India, offers a more affordable alternative to the original brand. As with all maintenance medication, quetiapine is best used under a doctor’s care.
