Patient summary

Developed to address fungal infections, indicated to support the clear recovery of mucosal or systemic candidiasis.

Mechanism of action

Fluconazole inhibits the fungal cytochrome P450 enzyme 14-alpha-demethylase. This disruption prevents the synthesis of ergosterol, a vital component of the fungal cell membrane, thereby inhibiting fungal growth.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Pregnancy: Avoid unless deemed essential. Breastfeeding: Use with caution as it is excreted in breast milk.

What you will receive

Diflucan is the originator brand name, made by Pfizer. We use it here to identify the medicine only; we are not affiliated with Pfizer and do not ship the original Diflucan.

  • You receive a generic equivalent: the same active ingredient (Fluconazole) at the same dose, mostly recognised Indian branded generics from vetted manufacturers.
  • The exact brand supplied depends on what is in stock at the dispatching warehouse.
  • A regulated generic matches the original ingredient for ingredient by legal standard.

Are all generics really the same? Read the honest answer.
