ProAir is used to help treat or prevent bronchospasm from obstructive airway disease * that’s reversible in certain children. It’s also used to help prevent bronchospasm from exercise in certain children. Both of these uses are approved for children ages 4 years and older.

What is ProAir HFA used for?

ProAir HFA is a bronchodilator that is used to treat or prevent bronchospasm in people with reversible obstructive airway disease. Albuterol is also used to prevent exercise-induced bronchospasm. ProAir HFA is for use in adults and children at least 4 years old. ProAir HFA may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

What are the different types of ProAir?

ProAir comes in three forms: ProAir HFA, ProAir RespiClick, and ProAir Digihaler. All three forms may be prescribed to help prevent or treat bronchospasm in adults and certain children. Side effects may vary depending on which form of ProAir you’re prescribed.
