Is Pulmicort a rescue medicine?
Pulmicort is not a rescue medicine. It will not work fast enough to treat an asthma attack. Use only a fast acting inhalation medicine for an asthma attack. Use only the inhaler device that comes with Pulmicort Flexhaler. Do not place the device in water or try to take it apart.
Does Pulmicort contain budesonide?
Pulmicort contains the active drug budesonide, which is a corticosteroid. Corticosteroids reduce inflammation in your body. These drugs stop certain cells from producing substances that trigger inflammation.
Does Pulmicort help with asthma?
Steroids like Pulmicort are taken every day to reduce inflammation and swelling in the airways. How much Pulmicort is in a puff?
