How does Omacor work?

Omacor works by lowering the body's production of triglycerides. High levels of triglycerides can lead to coronary artery disease, heart disease, and stroke. Omacor is used together with diet and exercise to help lower triglyceride levels in the blood. Omacor may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide.
