While nasal polyps are observed in a variety of clinical conditions including cystic fibrosis and malignancy, they are more frequently associated with a subset of chronic rhinosinusitis aptly named chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). In this condition, nasal polyps are benign and typically develop bilaterally in the sinonasal cavity.
