Zileuton is used to prevent asthma attacks and for long-term management of asthma in adults and children at least 12 years old. Zileuton may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide. Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
