How is Xolair given?

Xolair is given as an injection under the skin (subcutaneous injection). When you first start your treatment, the injection will be given to you by your healthcare provider. You will be watched closely for a short time after receiving the injection to make sure you do not have an allergic reaction to the medication.

Can I inject Xolair outside the doctor's office?

For uncontrolled moderate to severe allergic asthma patients 6 years and older. You and your doctor may determine that self-injection is right for you.
