Spare Mask - Additional Face Covering
Spare Mask FAQ
How do you wear a face mask?
If you choose to or are required to wear a face covering, you need to learn how to put it on, wear it and remove or dispose of it safely. The face mask should cover the face from the bridge of the nose to the chin. Wash your hands for twenty seconds with soap and water or use hand sanitiser before putting on or taking off a face mask.
Which mask should I wear?
The CDC says that you should wear the most protective mask that you'll wear regularly, fits well and is comfortable. Respirators such as nonsurgical N95s give the most protection. KN95s and medical masks provide the next highest level of protection. Cloth masks provide less protection.
How do you care for a face mask?
The appropriate use, storage and cleaning or disposal of masks are essential to make them as effective as possible. Clean your hands before you put your mask on, as well as before and after you take it off, and after you touch it at any time. Make sure it covers both your nose, mouth and chin.
How do you store a mask?
When you take off a mask, store it in a clean plastic bag, and every day either wash it if it’s a fabric mask, or dispose of a medical mask in a trash bin. Don’t use masks with valves.
