What is Berodual N used for?

Berodual N is used for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). COPD is a disease affecting the lungs which makes it harder for the person to breathe as the disease gets worse. Berodual N can also be used to help control symptoms in asthma. It contains 2 ingredients, fenoterol and ipratropium.

When should Berodual be used?

In patients with asthma Berodual should be used only on an as-needed basis. In patients with mild COPD, on-demand (symptom-oriented) treatment may be preferable to regular use, circumstances permitting.

What is bronchodilator Berodual?

BERODUAL is a bronchodilator for the prevention and treatment of symptoms in chronic obstructive airway disorders with reversible bronchospasm such as bronchial asthma and especially chronic bronchitis with or without emphysema.

Does Berodual N help with asthma?

Berodual N can also be used to help control symptoms in asthma. It contains 2 ingredients, fenoterol and ipratropium. Both ingredients work by relaxing the airway muscles, thus opening up the airways to make breathing easier. What side effects can Fenoterol/Ipratropium Inhaler cause? These symptoms may happen but should get better over time.

What is Berodual ®?

Berodual® is a fixed combination of the anticholinergic agent ipratropium bromide (IB) and the β 2 -adrenergic agonist fenoterol hydrobromide (FEN). IB/FEN has been available for the treatment of asthma and COPD in a pressurised metered dose inhaler (MDI) [pMDI] formulation for many years.

What are the active bronchodilating ingredients in Berodual®?

BERODUAL® contains two active bronchodilating ingredients: ipratropium bromide, exhibiting an anticholinergic effect and fenoterol hydrobromide a beta-adrenergic agent. Ipratropium bromide is a quaternary ammonium compound with anticholinergic (parasympatholytic) properties.
